A physician-scientist on the quest to discover novel therapeutic targets in cardiovascular disease
to alleviate unnecessary suffering.
I am thankful for being blessed by having a wonderful childhood and a critical thinking-focused education from my kin. Even a 10-year MD-PhD program couldn’t ruin the embed experience of problem-solving 😅
Seriously though, I have had tremendous luck with my mentors aiding my journey. Hence, I have managed to develop and test ideas furthering the understanding of cardiac disease, which I have been so vehemently poised to. Read about those on the Research page.
Along the way, I have fostered my niche; be it in the lab, at seminars or on conferences. I was awarded several scholarships and grants during the process helping the development of my research tools and skillset.
Becoming the youngest Associate Professor of Medicine in the nation, I was sponsored a grant to re-join my colleagues at Boston University/Boston Medical Center - where I previously spent my PhD sabbatical - to study cardiometabolic remodelling in heart disease as a promising therapeutic target.
Thus, since early 2022, I am based in Boston, Mass.
